Supreme Court Reserves Its Verdict In Azam Khan's Son's Fake Birth Certificate Case

The Supreme Court on Tuesday reserved its judgment on the challenge against a decision of the Allahabad High Court to disqualify Mohd. Abdullah Azam Khan, son of Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan over his dubious date of birth.

In 2019, the Allahabad High Court had set aside the elections of Abdullah when the petitioner Nawab Kazam Ali Khan, moved the court claiming that the young politician from the Samajwadi Party had falsely stated his date of birth for the purpose of contesting the 2017 assembly elections.
