Mani Ratnam Interview: Directed by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan is based on the literary novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Karthi will be seen in lead roles. The film also features Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Jayaram and Lal in supporting roles. The film has music scored by AR Rahman.
Director Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan is one of the most anticipated films of 2022. The first part of the two-film franchise is all geared up for a grand release on September 30. According to reports, the digital streaming rights of Ponniyin Selvan (part 1 and 2) have been sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping price. The second part is expected to hit the theatres in a few months.
