Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU), an umbrella organisation of around 30 Islamic religious and educational bodies in J&K, has called for the ban on bhajans and surya namaskars in schools, claiming that it is hurting the religious sentiments of the Muslim community. The remarks come in wake of a viral video from J&K which showed a bunch of school kids in Kulgam singing a bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’.
